GREENSBORO — A condition linked to Mad Cow disease is apparently responsible for a 1996 death in the Triad.
Scientists with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have discovered a new variant of the disease that caused a panic in the United Kingdom last year. They say it may be associated with people who eat beef from animals who had Mad Cow disease.
Health officials say there is no cause for public concern.
