CHARLOTTE — Charlotte police think they've captured North Carolina's most notorious blue light bandit. The man they arrested owns police uniforms, hats, badges, identification cards and walkie-talkies, most of which can by purchased by anyone.
Police have 41-year-old William Long in custody and have charged him with impersonating a State Bureau of Investigation officer.
They are now investigating his past criminal record.
