CHARLOTTE — Charlotte police think they've capturedNorth Carolina's most notorious blue light bandit. The man they arrestedowns police uniforms, hats, badges, identification cards andwalkie-talkies, most of which can by purchased by anyone.
Police have 41-year-old William Long in custody and have charged himwith impersonating a State Bureau of Investigation officer.
They are now investigating his past criminal record.
