New Life in Old Hudson-Belk Store?

RALEIGH — New life may be breathing into the old Hudson-Belk store in downtown Raleigh.The News & Observer reports that investors want to pump $10 million into the renovation project.

Developers want to turn the empty building into a variety of restaurants, nightclubs, retail stores and condominiums.

Renovations could begin next summer and be completed in about 18 months.

The project certainly would help energize downtown Raleigh, which has seen some restaurants and nightclubs close in recent months.
