Six Forks Extension Open

RALEIGH — It will easier getting around one sectionof Raleigh after Wednesday. The Six Forks extension, connecting Old WakeForest Road with Atlantic Avenue, offers motorists an alternate route todowntown from North Raleigh.

Mayor Tom Fetzer and other city officials officially opened the roadWednesday afternoon. The project cost nearly $4.5 million and took twoyears to complete.
