RALEIGH — For the first time since 1968, NorthCarolina has a newly styled drivers license. The new license looks muchlike a credit card, and it is being issued now.
The new look includes a hologram, a digitized picture of the driver anda two-dimensional bar code.Darren O'Neil Knasick was one of the first people to receive thenewlicense, and he says he likes it.

Temporarily, the DMV office off of Blue Ridge Road is the only place inthe state issuing new licenses. That's where the bugs are being worked outof the system. Officials say the new cards will be very helpful inpreventing forgeries of licenses.
