Church Group Delivers Food to Triangle
Posted September 13, 1996
RALEIGH — Thanks to a youth group from an Asheville church, there are 2,000 boxes of relief supplies in Raleigh, ready for those in need.
A tractor-trailer load of the 75-pound packages pulled up to the Brooks Avenue Church of Christ Friday morning, packed with food, paper products, and other useful supplies for Fran-drenched Triangle residents.
Eddie Field, youth director for the church, says the items are available to anyone who needs them.
Anyone who needs help is welcome to visit the church at 700 Brooks Avenue in Raleigh, between Hillsborough Street and Wade Avenue.
