Cumberland County Authorities Investigate Shooting By Deputy

CUMBERLAND COUNTY — Authorities are back in a Cumberland County neighborhood where a deputy fatally shot a man overnight.
The incident happened in the 200 block of Angel Drive in the Golden Creek Mobile Home Park. The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Ronald McCrae Teu. Deputies went to Teu's house to arrest him on outstanding warrants, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department.
Lt. Sam Pennica of the Sheriff's Department is not saying why authorities opened fire. He said the deputy involved in the shooting has been placed on administrative leave with pay, pending the outcome of the S.B.I. investigation.
