Now, you can learn about the journey from early taverns to the development of high tech industries. All of that and more is included in a new exhibit at the Raleigh Museum, called 'Businesses that Built Raleigh.' You can see one of WRAL's first television camera's, a 35 foot long Piggly Wiggly Sign from the Five Points store, and even an old chamber pot from the Yarborough House that burned in 1928.
"There's some interesting personal stories here that match with the artifacts. You can learn those stories through the oral histories as well as see the people in the photographs," said Jenny Kulikowski of the Raleigh City Museum.
The exhibit will run at the Raleigh City Museum until 2003.
