Campus Groups Provide Safe Haven For Students

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — As Arab and Muslim students leave college campuses around the country and head back to their homelands, that is not the case everywhere.

At N.C. State University, the Office of International Student Services says only two students have left.

Arab Club president Nadia Ali says campus life is still a bit uneasy.

"To hear that people are leaving school is really scary. And it tells me more than people are fearing America," she says.

Ali says the Arab Club and the Muslim Student Association provide a safe haven for her and other students of her faith.
