WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — A landfill lawsuit is on hold in Wake County, after a judge dismissed a lawsuit by the New Hill Community Association.
The group sued the Western Wake Partners to stop several towns from building a sewage plant in their community. The Superior Court judge ruled the association didn't have standing to bring the suit to court.
The association said they are evaluating their options for appeal. While disappointed in the judge's decision, they said citizens of New Hill would continue their fight to stop the building of the sewage plant.
