CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities are sorting out the details of a chase that ended with a wreck in Cumberland County.
According to Johnston County authorities, sheriff's officials began chasing a vehicle sometime after noon Thursday in the Benson area. It is not yet known why authorities were chasing the vehicle.
The chase went through Johnston County, Harnett and Cumberland counties.
Cumberland County Highway Patrol said the chase ended in an accident on exit 56 on southbound Interstate 95. There is no word on whether anyone is in custody.
