Carolina Hurricanes To Receive 2004 NHL Draft

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — It looks like the Carolina Hurricanes have scored big without even lacing up the skates.

The NHL has informed the hockey club that it will host the 2004 Draft. An official announcement is due in the fall.

By getting the draft, the Hurricanes are still in line to get the All-Star game in 2006.

A successful post-season ticket drive by the team helped Raleigh win the rights to host the draft.
