Some N.C. State Students In A Housing Jam

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — More than 150 students at North Carolina State are scrambling to find a place to live. The suites they thought were going to be ready for this school year are not even close to being done.

The developer of University Suites is holding the students to their leases, but he is providing them a temporary room at a hotel.

Many of the students say that is not good enough and they want to find a permanent place on their own.

The terms of the lease gives University Suites a 60-day window for completion of the apartment, according to the North Carolina Department of Justice.
