FAYETTEVILLE — One person is dead after an overnight accident in Cumberland County.
The wreck happened around 12:30 a.m. on the 5700 block of Highway 210 South. That is about 10 miles south of Fayetteville.
Investigators say the vehicle ran off the road, struck a tree and burst into flames.
The driver was dead when troopers arrived. The victim's name has not yet been released.
