DURHAM, N.C. — Dozens of firefighters struggled to put out a fire overnight at a Durham County motel.
The fire took place at the Duke Inn on Redwood Road, which according to officials is abandoned.
Fire crews are familiar with the Duke Inn because they battled a fire at the same location in January.
Firefighters had trouble battling the flames because there are no nearby hydrants, and water had to be brought in to control the fire.
Investigators will be on the scene Friday to try to determine the cause.
