Family Frantic To Find Missing Raleigh Women
RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh woman who went missing last week has contacted her family to say that she is OK.

Dawn Barbee went missing last Friday after taking a family vehicle to a Raleigh tire service center for maintenance. Her cell phone had been found at her home, as well as a receipt from the service center, but a sport utility vehicle and some money were missing.

Knowing it was out of character for her, Barbee's family feared the worst.

Earlier this week, her husband of 30 years, Joe Barbee, told WRAL that it was hard not knowing what might have happened to his wife.

"It's hard to go another day not knowing where she is, and that she's safe," he said. "It's life-altering, because the rest of my life, when I do get her back, will be spent appreciating my wife. Nothing's more important than that, nothing."

Details were not immediately available on Dawn Barbee's whereabouts or her condition.
