WILSON — A Wilson teenager has died from injuries he suffered in a fight Saturday.
Police say Montrel Ellis, 15, was hit in the face by another teen, knocking him backward.
They say Ellis hit the asphalt and fractured his skull. It happened at the intersection of Freeman and Tuskeegee streets.
Ellis was transported to Wilson Medical Center and later airlifted to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, where he died Saturday afternoon.
Police are still talking with the other teenager. While they do expect to seek charges, police say the teen will probably not be charged with murder.
