RALEIGH, N.C. — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that happened near downtown Raleigh Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say the victim, Steven Anthony Poole, 39, was shot in the head on
425 Alston Street
at about 1:20 p.m.
Poole was transported to WakeMed where he was pronounced dead.
At about 4 p.m., authorities arrested the victim's nephew, Michael Anthony Poole, 26, at Lake Boone Shopping Center. He was charged with one count of murder in connection with the Steven Poole's death.
Police said the homicide stemmed from a dispute between the two men.
