Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE — The FBI says two men may be responsible for a string of bank robberies in Fayetteville.

The latest robbery happened Tuesday at the Centura Bank branch on South McPherson Church Road.

According to police, two men entered the bank and displayed a handgun. They got their money and ran out the door.

No one was hurt.

Police say it is the second time the bank has been robbed in less than a month.

The FBI thinks the same two men might be responsible for four bank robberies in Fayetteville since May 1.
