PINEHURST, N.C. — Some students had a bumpy ride to school after two buses were involved in an accident.
The accident occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of Morganton Road and South Nowell Road in Pinehurst.
Officials said the two school buses were heading to Pinecrest High School when one school bus rear-ended another school bus.
Seven students were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. They have since been treated and released from the hospital. The students who were not injured were transferred to another school bus and were taken to school.
