Former HHS Director Tommy Thompson Joins Voyager Board

RALEIGH, NC — Tommy Thompson, a former U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary, is among six new members joining the board of directors at

Voyager Pharmaceutical

.

Thompson served in the Bush administration from 2001 to 2005.

Also named to the board were Jim Artman, William Edward McConville, Kevin Giblin, James P. Carney, and Sheldon Goldberg.

Artman is a retired partner from KPMG in Raleigh. McConville is a former president of Siena College. Giblin, president and chief executive officer of Brendon Properties, and Carney, president and CEO of Bernardi Auto Group, are among the top 10 outside shareholders of Voyager. Goldberg is senior vice president of corporate development at Voyager.
