That is when WRAL-TV and the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association present the 56th Annual Crabtree Valley Mall Raleigh Christmas Parade.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. from the corner of Hillsborough and St. Mary's Streets. The procession makes a right at the State Capitol onto Salisbury Street and ends at the corner of Lenoir and Salisbury Streets.

Dozens of floats, marching bands, clowns and twirlers will entertain an estimated 80,000 spectators.

This year's parade will be the first to be broadcast in high-definition. It will air Saturday at 6 p.m. on WRAL Digital, Channel 53.
