The 2001 Department of Transportation Road map was unveiled Thursday. Featured on the front is a photo of the Airborne and Special Operations Museum.
City leaders hope the map will also help direct all North Carolinians to the truth about Fayetteville, and help shake off the city's negative image.
"It's just another way for Fayetteville to get recognized for all the good we do and not just the bad, that's the perception that is out there," says Gary Cooper, of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce.
Three million maps will be distributed nationwide. Fayetteville hope it will be three million chances for people to see the museum and decide to come and see what Fayetteville is all about.
The maps will be available to the public beginning November 27.
