School officials said this action was in response to a bomb threat discovered at the school late Wednesday. The threat included specific information which is being withheld due to an investigation.
Principal Mary Ann Hardebeck said the school was searched by police and school officials, who deemed it safe for the return of students Thursday morning.
Parents are being informed of the steps the school is taking in a letter being distributed to students.
The school says it followed its Safe Schools Plan, developed for responding to crisis situations, in this incident.
The school is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for the threat.
