Tarboro Couple Charged in Infant's Death

Gregory Austin Bryant and Ashley Taylor Bryant were charged with first-degree murder in the death of their son, Trenton Ryder Bryant.

On April 8, deputies and rescue workers were called to the Bryants' home on Everett Road, where they found the baby with severe head injuries.

After the baby died, authorities discovered that the infant also had three broken ribs, one of which was the result of an older injury that had healed.

The couple is being held without bond in the Edgecombe County Detention Center.
