RALEIGH, N.C. — An accident on a ramp to the Beltline in Raleigh caused traffic troubles Tuesday afternoon.
At about 9:15 a.m., a tractor-trailer that had been eastbound on Wade Avenue attempted to take the exit ramp that would have put the vehicle on the Inner Loop of the I-440 Beltline, Raleigh police said.
The driver lost control of the tractor-trailer, which flipped onto its left side. The driver was taken to a local hospital, but he is expected to be OK.
Hours later, crews were able to remove the vehicle and the exit ramp was reopened to traffic.
