A man charged in the death of an Orange County woman is in jail, and authorities say his alleged crimes may stretch far beyond the Triangle.
Stacy Jones (pictured, left) was arrested Sunday in connection with the death of fitness instructor Heather Prather.
Prather met Jones at Gold's Gym in Carrboro where she was a personal trainer. Jones, a 210-pound bodybuilder is accused of stabbing and beating Prather to death. Police say there were signs of an intense struggle.
The Orange County District Attorney says Jones is also suspected in the beating and kidnapping of a Carrboro woman in April, as well as three other deaths.
Carrboro Police Officer J.G. Booker (pictured, right) told WRAL-TV5'sMark Robertsthat this has been a tough case.

Police say they found Jones in a Chapel Hill bar early Sunday morning, and that he surrendered without incident.
Jones is now being held without bond in the Orange County Jail. He will be represented by the public defender's office
