Posted Updated

FORT BRAGG — Fort Bragg's very own 82nd Airborne division commander is set to become the Army's next three star general.

President Clinton nominated Major General George Crocker to take over command of Fort Lewis in Washington state.

Major Crocker has served five tours in the 82nd.

The U.S. Senate must still approve the nomination. If all goes as planned, Crocker will take command in December
