More than 400 students from 41 states and 21 countries will be in Durham for six weeks learning to mirror the best dancers.
“To experience people from all around the world dancing is just, it’s a great honor,” said dance student Hunter Carter.
“Yeah, it’d the only festival really of its kind,” said choreographer Martha Clarke. “I think it’s an amazing art form, because it’s both very real and very abstract.”
The American Dance Festival features a variety of performances - 60 in all - from now until July 21 at Duke University.
