JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — A student was taken to the hospital Friday following an accident in Johnston County.
According to officials with the Johnston County school system, a 15-year-old Princeton High School student was riding in the back of a truck with other students on the school grounds.
The student jumped off the back of the truck and tried to get back on, but was not able to and was run over by one of the back wheels of the truck.
The student was taken to Johnston Memorial Hospital and is expected to be OK.
