Argument Ends in Shooting

RALEIGH — May 26, 1996, 11 a.m. EDT

A group of men got into an argument early Saturday morning, and Raleigh police say one man was shot, and three more injured before the fracas ended.

Zennon Sanchez Flores was taken to Wake Medical Center where he was reported in stable condition after treatment for a gunshot wound to the neck. Three other men were injured, one of them so beaten with a tire iron he was hospitalized. The two men beaten with sticks did not require hospitalization.

Police said all the men involved knew each other. Neighbors reported hearing an argument in Spanish about 2:30 a.m., possibly over a young woman. The men then split into two groups, and began fighting outside Flores' home on Sandy Forks Road
