Apartment Damage Partly Due To Location

Fire investigators say the fire that destroyed all 12 units in the Village of Pickwick apartment building might have been related to the building's location.

Residents were rousted from their beds early Saturday morning when the fire broke out. No one was reported injured.

Fire officials now say it appears someone left a stove on and fell asleep. Firefighters had a hard time bringing trucks close enough to the building to fight the fire.

They say that probably caused more damage than would otherwise have occurred
