FORT BRAGG — February 28, 1996 - 4:31 p.m. EST
An 82nd Airborne soldier was taken into custody Wednesday, accused of firing shots into a building on post.
The shooting occurred at about 2 a.m. Wednesday morning in a Fort Bragg building where the soldier worked. His name has not been released.
No one was hurt, but bullets shattered some windows.
Authorities say the soldier was legally drunk at the time of the shooting, but was not aiming at anyone.
This incident follows on last October 27, in which an early morning sniper attack at Fort Bragg left one soldier dead and 18 injured
