The Broughton high school girl's soccer team at 24-0-1 will play Greensboro Page for the State 4A Championship Saturday. No matter what, it's been a great season for Broughton. But what they really want is the state title.

Broughton stands one win away from a 4A state title. The Caps can also wrap up an undefeated season with a win over Greensboro Page. The caps beat the pirates early in the campaign, but things are different now. It's a new season with different circumstances.

"We seem to do pretty well against them," says Coach Izzy Hernandez. "We're a different team than before. We're out three starters, three crucial starters for our team. So, it's going to be a new game for us."

A new game, yet a familiar setting. Broughton is in the state finals once again, but don't think for a minute they take these situations for granted.

"It will never get old," Hernandez smiles. "I'm here to compete, and we all are. It will never get old."

Seasons like this don't come along often. Broughton hopes to cap-off near perfection Saturday.
