Carolina's near future may be decided by a couple of players. Not juniors Jamison and Carter, but two high school seniors who matriculate this fall. Guard Ronald Curry, considered the nation's top high school quarterback, along with being a top rated guard, will bring his 23 points per game to the Heels.
"I had to do what was best for Ronald Curry," the incoming Freshman says. "I think Chapel Hill is the best place for me."
Jason Capel led St. John's of Prospect Hall to this year's high school national championship, averaging 20 points and 12 rebounds. No doubt the two can play. And they've played some together.
"Ron and I have been playing together for like four years now," Capel says. "We pretty much know each other. We kind of get a kick of watching UNC play and picturing ourselves out there next year. Hopefully, Carter and Jamison will come back, and we'll be on the same floor with them."
If the big two do return, the little two, Curry and Capel, will have a chance to learn from the best. If not, they'll still learn from the rest of the ACC.
