Top Two Seeds Look Ahead to ACC Tournament

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — The emotions of a physically and mentally draining game are over. Now it's time for both Duke and North Carolina to look ahead. For the Devils, that's easy, coming off the big win. They've got momentum and something even more important.

"It gives us a confidence boost," says Duke center Elton Brand. "The team is ready to go. We won the regular season flat out by two games in one of the toughest leagues in the nation."

A great win for Duke, but a devastating loss for North Carolina. The Tar Heels are down, no question about it. UNC is still trying to figure out how they lost. Once they do, the Heels will use that knowledge to their advantage.

"It's a motivating factor by far," explains UNC guard Shammond Williams. "We felt like we should have won this basketball game."

Antawn Jamison agrees, but he thinks it's time for the team to bounce back.

Getting ready for the tournament, now, there's something both teams have in common.
