A man suffered a gunshot wound to his leg Monday night outside a convenience store.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — A man was wounded after a shooting outside a convenience store near North Carolina State University's bell tower.

The incident happened at around 10 p.m. Monday at 18 Maiden Lane near the Bell Tower Mart convenience store. Investigators said the gunshots were fired from a car.

Police said Eli Ramsey, 44, was shot in the leg. He was treated and released from WakeMed.

Authorities said the shooting was not connected to the store.
