Raleigh Leaders To Hold Workshop To Address Gentrification Concerns

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh city leaders will hold a workshop Thursday evening to discuss downtown development with people who are concerned new development will force them out of their neighborhood.

Some homeowners are afraid that when property values go up, they will no longer be able to afford the taxes. City leaders want to help ease concerns by talking about the issue before they develop a new vision plan for east of downtown.

Leaders will talk about that and more at Thursday's workshop at 6:30 p.m. at the Exploris Museum.
