N.C. State Students Debate Ticket Policy For Basketball Games

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — N.C. Statestudents voiced their opinions Tuesday about the best way to hand out basketball tickets.

Campouts were canceled after students trashed parts of campus whilecamping out for State/Carolina tickets earlier this year.

On Tuesday, a ticket distribution task force presented its ideas, which ranged from registering online to a point system similar to the Student Wolfpack Club.

Students had their own ideas, but most wanted a plan that would build school spirit.

"It's kind of invigorating and it gets the spirit going for the game," says N.C. State senior Kristen Jernigan. "You get into the arena at game time, and you have this electric, invigorating atmosphere with everyone cheering."

After considering the students' input, the task force will finalize its plan in a couple of weeks.
