<b>RDU INTERNATIONAL</b> — Airport officials say a FedEx plane had to make an emergency landing atRDU InternationalThursday night after pilots reported smoke in the cabin.

The plane made a safe landing in the cargo area, but the main runway was closed down for the landing.

All three crew members left the plane safely.

Firefighters are still investigating exactly what went wrong.
