RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities have made a fourth arrest in connection with an Apex kidnapping in December.

Three other suspects - Kirk Smith, Margaret Singletary and Brandon Ingram -- have been arrested in connection with the Dec. 18 kidnapping of Vernon Harris II, who was taken from a relative's home on the 3000 block of Holland Road in Apex. Harris was later returned after his family paid a ransom.
