Raleigh's Floyd Clean-Up Has 1 Week Left

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — For Raleigh residents, this could be the last weekend to make sure the Hurricane Floyd debris in the yard gets picked up.

Since the storm, mountains of debris have been cluttering yards and neighborhoods. Raleigh has one week left on a special collection contract, which runs out next Friday.

Here are a few rules to follow in this clean up effort:

Make sure it's only storm related debris, such as tree branches.

Cut the debris into small pieces and place it near the street.

Don't include stumps in the pile.

To request a pick-up, Raleigh residents can call 831-6446.
