Police say an angry worker, Billy Jerome Elliot, walked into an Orange County manufacturing plant and shot and killed a co-worker, Darren Jerome Brantley.
Thursday night just before midnight, Orange County deputies say witnesses reported seeing an employee walk into the Hancor Manufacturing Company, shoot Brantley with a sawed-off shotgun and then drive away.
The victim later died.
Elliot is 5'2", weighs 130 pounds and is 34 years old.
He was last seen driving a 1984 red Cheverolet Camaro with a North Carolina license plate number MPP-3903.
The car could possibly be displaying a Connecticut state plate, but that tag number is not known.
Deputies are still searching for Elliot. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Elliot faces charges of first degree murder.
The Hancor Manufacturing Company on Highway 70 near Mebane makes drainage and sewer pipes.
