Chiasson's Blood Alcohol Level 3 Times the Legal Limit

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — The Carolina Hurricanes hockey player who died in a single vehicle accident last week was driving drunk.

The medical examiner's office says Steve Chiasson's blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit for driving.

They say the tests put him at .27; .08 is the legal limit.

Chiasson died a week ago today after returning from a play-off loss in Boston.
