Father Released From Jail After Allowing Daughter To Skip School

JOHNSTON COUNTY — A Johnston County father was released from jail Tuesday morning afterrefusing to send his daughterto school on religious grounds.

Harry Bridges just completed his 15-day jail sentence Tuesday. His 14-year-old daughter, Rebecca, is enrolled at Corinth Holder Middle School, but she refuses to go to class.

The family's pastor says it is wrong to look at images of living things, such as images that could be in textbooks or classrooms.
