Ambitious Plans for Raleigh Development Scaled Back

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — A controversial development in Raleigh is being scaled back.

Neal Coker wants to build a mix of retail space, offices and condominiums in a section of land near Cameron Village. After proposing an ambitious plan of tall buildings, he has agreed to cut back his idea.

Coker now says that he will keep all buildings under 10 stories and delete a luxury hotel from the Coker Towers blueprints.

His new plan is scheduled to be submitted in April.
