In Southern California, both students and adults heard enough to warn officials about Monday's shooting Santana High School, but did not say anything. When the threat of violence involves a school, resource officers and principals are willing to listen to parents and help filter information.
"When we receive information from any kind of reliable source, we then have to make a judgment call," said Sanderson High School principal Cathy Moore. Bomb threats and weapon reports are acted upon quickly and quietly.
