RALEIGH — Raleigh firefighters had to make an early morning run to a downtown ATM -- not to get cash, but to put out a fire.
An ATM in the Bank of America building on Fayetteville Street Mall caught fire around 1 a.m. Saturday. While the fire was quickly extinguished, the smoke triggered the building's sprinkler system, flooding the entire first floor.
Investigators are still studying the fire, saying that it is suspicious.
