Durham Man Convicted Of Girlfriend's Death Wants New Trial

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man convicted of killing his girlfriend wants a new trial.

Lawyers for Phillip Anderson claim the judge should have rejected expert ballistics testimony at his trial. Anderson claims the testimony violated his constitutional rights.

Jurors found him guilty of killing Theresa Adams back in October, 2001. Her body was found in a ditch on Hillandale Road.
