Jabon Phillip Johnson, 20, of Fayetteville, was arrested by a Fayetteville police officer who noticed a man matching the suspect's description. Johnson was taken into custody for Lillington police.
Cedric McLeod, a 22-year-old police officer, was inside The Pantry convenience store when the robbery occurred early Monday. He's still recovering from multiple wounds at Duke Medical Center.
Eighteen-year-old Herbert Demitris Wilson, of Fayetteville, was also wounded in the shooting. He was charged Wednesday with attempted murder and robbery after he was released from UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Eighteen-year-old Eric Levon Williams was arrested Thursday after he turned himself in.
